To use AI with Simpro, connect Simpro to TradieBridge with an API key, then add TradieBridge’s
MCP server (https://app.tradiebridge.com/mcp) to Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot. You sign in with OAuth, and your
assistant can then answer plain-English questions from your Simpro backup. It never writes to Simpro.
What an MCP server is, in plain words
An AI assistant only knows what you paste into it. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a standard plug that lets an assistant look things up in another system when you ask. TradieBridge’s MCP server is that plug for your business data: the assistant asks it for jobs, invoices or timesheets, and TradieBridge answers from your backup, as you, with only the access you approved.
What you can ask
TradieBridge has ready-made Simpro questions, and your assistant can also search, read and total any record:
- The diary: what’s booked this week, and for whom?
- One job: where is job 2111 at, and what has it made so far?
- Job profit: which jobs came in over estimate this quarter, by manager or job type?
- Money owed: who owes us, and how old are those invoices?
- Quotes: how many quotes did we win against lose each month, and by salesperson?
- Labour: hours worked against hours booked, per person, last week?
- A customer: everything about one customer, their sites and their jobs.
Connect Xero, Deputy or a fleet system as well, and one question can span them: do the timesheets match the pay run, or was a van at the job?
Read-only towards Simpro
TradieBridge reads Simpro only through its official API. It never writes back. Inside TradieBridge, your assistant can start a sync or an export and send us feedback, and that’s all. You can disconnect an assistant, or revoke the Simpro key, at any time.
